Ideal candidates are experienced in school-based occupational therapy and thrive in collaborative, student-centered environments. You’ll play a key role in enhancing students’ abilities to participate fully in school activities, whether working independently or alongside educators and families.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapist licensure for practice in Arizona
- Proven experience working with students in school settings, particularly elementary and middle school levels
- Familiarity with educational evaluations, IEP development, and service delivery in a school context
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to efficiently manage a caseload of approximately 50 students across two school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and plan appropriate therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support each student’s educational journey
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and updates on student progress
- Deliver individualized therapy sessions and monitor progress towards goals
- Document services, evaluations, and outcomes in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Travel between two sites as needed to meet students’ therapy needs
