School Occupational Therapist - Watkinsville, Georgia

Step into a rewarding opportunity serving K-12 students as an Occupational Therapist during a maternity leave coverage. This contract position is based onsite and offers a consistent four-day work week, with eight-hour shifts each day. You’ll work closely with a student caseload of 50-60, providing approximately 10 hours of direct therapy services weekly, making a meaningful difference for children and adolescents.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Georgia
- Experience working in a school-based OT setting, preferably across K-12 populations
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload and deliver both direct and consultative OT services
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions that support academic participation and functional independence
- Track student progress and maintain precise documentation of services rendered and outcomes achieved
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school personnel to support students’ success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute OT expertise to student planning teams
