Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in California
- Previous experience in schools or with school-aged children is preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of evidence-based OT interventions for children and adolescents
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and document progress effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in compliance with IEP goals and state/federal guidelines
- Assess, plan, and implement programs to address fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation challenges
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to integrate OT strategies into classroom activities
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and ongoing professional development
- Provide consultative support and training for staff regarding student needs and accommodations
