Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and active Occupational Therapist license in New Mexico
- Previous experience delivering therapy in school settings is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of age-appropriate interventions across elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individual treatment plans
- Skilled in working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary education team
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and develop individualized goals
- Deliver direct therapy services, both one-on-one and in groups, across elementary, middle, and high school environments
- Provide support for students’ motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and participation in educational activities
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and families to integrate therapy goals into daily routines
- Track progress and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to develop effective support plans
