Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Occupational Therapy license
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Strong understanding of school-based OT practices and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation to travel between multiple assigned sites
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ needs in collaboration with multidisciplinary educational teams
- Develop and implement individualized OT plans to promote student engagement and independence
- Facilitate therapy sessions addressing fine motor skills, sensory integration, and daily functioning
- Provide consultative support and training to teachers and support staff
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation per school and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning as needed
