Schedule & Assignment Details
Timeline: Short-Term Contract, School Year Placement, or Full-Time/Part-Time opportunities available.
Hours: Typical school-day schedule (Monday–Friday) with competitive weekly hours.
Caseload & Student Profile
Size: Manageable caseloads aligned with state guidelines (final numbers adjusted based on district needs).
Age Groups: K-12 populations, including early childhood, elementary, middle, or high school students.
Clinical Focus: Supporting students with a diverse range of exceptionalities, including developmental delays, cognitive impairments, sensory processing needs, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Programs: Services are delivered across various educational settings, including general education classrooms, resource rooms, and specialized regional programs.
Logistics & Team Support
Systems: Utilization of standard school-based IEP and Medicaid billing software (such as EdPlan or equivalent platforms).
Training: Comprehensive onboarding, orientation, and systems training provided to ensure a smooth transition.
Environment: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside dedicated educators, speech therapists, physical therapists, and specialists focused on student success.
Qualifications
Active Michigan State License as an Occupational Therapist.
Prior experience in a school-based setting or strong knowledge of pediatric therapy practices.
Strong communication and collaborative skills for working across multiple buildings, school teams, and families.
