Gross Motor Skills Fine Motor Skills Occupational Therapist | Colorado Springs, Colorado
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist with experience supporting students across K-12 settings. This contract role runs from ASAP through the end of the academic year and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ daily lives by supporting both fine and gross motor development.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid OT license and credentials required
- Proven background in therapy within school and/or hospital environments
- Comfort working with pediatric populations and collaborating with COTAs
- Strong understanding of fine and gross motor skill development
- Ability to tailor interventions for a diverse caseload, K-12
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
Schedule:
- Full-time hours, Monday through Friday
- Assignment extends through the remainder of the school year
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and provide targeted occupational therapy interventions for students
- Collaborate closely with educators, aides, and COTAs to integrate therapeutic goals in the school environment
- Maintain and update student therapy records in compliance with all regulatory and district policies
- Develop individualized treatment plans addressing each child’s unique strengths and challenges
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed for continued growth
