Gross Motor Skills Fine Motor Skills Occupational Therapist in Monument, CO
Opportunity available for a licensed Occupational Therapist with experience serving K-12 students in a school and hospital setting. This full-time contract role runs from ASAP through the end of the academic year and focuses on empowering students to achieve their highest levels of independence and function.
Key responsibilities include conducting assessments to determine students’ fine and gross motor skill needs, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, collaborating with teachers and staff, and maintaining timely documentation. The position requires skill in both school-based and healthcare-based OT interventions, supporting students with a range of developmental and physical challenges.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Previous experience working with K-12 students in school settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of fine and gross motor skill development
- Familiarity providing therapy in hospitals and/or educational environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and allied professionals
- Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered care
Schedule:
- Full-time hours, school day schedule
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students and develop individualized treatment plans to address motor and functional needs
- Deliver occupational therapy services, including direct interventions and consultative support
- Monitor progress and adjust therapy strategies as appropriate
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, COTAs, and other specialists to support program goals
- Complete appropriate documentation and maintain compliance with all relevant guidelines
