Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Proven experience in both healthcare (hospital) and educational (school) OT settings preferred
- Demonstrated strength in fine motor and gross motor skill development and interventions
- Familiarity with collaborating with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in school environments
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation abilities
- Passion for supporting student independence and participation in school routines
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ unique occupational therapy needs within the K-12 population, across school and hospital settings
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting student success
- Deliver targeted interventions to improve fine and gross motor skills as well as functional abilities required for participation in academic activities
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and adjust therapy approaches
- Supervise and support COTA personnel as needed, especially in school-based settings
- Accurately document evaluations, treatment activities, and student progress according to established standards
