This travel therapy position places you in a dynamic hospital environment, where you’ll encounter a diverse patient population—including orthopedic, deconditioned, and pediatric cases. Macomb offers a vibrant blend of small-town charm and professional growth, making your downtime as fulfilling as your workday. Schedule:
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 72 hours per pay period
What You’ll Do:
- Complete 4-5 patient visits daily, managing a caseload that primarily includes ortho, deconditioned, and some pediatric patients
- Provide essential coaching in daily living skills (bathing, dressing, meal preparation) to help patients remain independent at home
- Deliver specialized care, including lymphedema management (preferred but not required)
- Conduct supervisory visits and documentation when collaborating with COTAs
- Utilize a web-based EMR for scheduling, documentation, and remote meetings (iPads provided)
- Regularly stop by the office as needed for meetings and administrative tasks
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active OT license (or eligibility) in Illinois
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and adaptability
- Comfort with technology, EMR, and remote communication
- Lymphedema specialization and pediatric experience desirable
- Openness to working with patients of all ages
