A large, progressive skilled nursing facility in Monterey County, CA is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to patients in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract position offers a supportive atmosphere with mentorship opportunities for newer graduates and the chance to collaborate closely with an experienced interdisciplinary team.
Schedule/Hours:
- Preferred shifts are Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday
- May require floating to a nearby sister facility within walking distance
Qualifications:
- Current California Occupational Therapist license (or eligible under the 60-Day Rule)
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred; recent graduates encouraged to apply
- Strong documentation and time management abilities
- A flexible, collaborative approach essential for success in a multidisciplinary setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients in alignment with facility protocols and individualized care plans
- Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Accurately document assessments, treatments, and progress using Net Health software
- Adapt quickly to changing caseloads and facility needs, including potential cross-coverage
