Occupational Therapist in Seaside, CA
A skilled nursing facility in Monterey County is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality care and support to patients within a hospital therapy setting. This is a contract opportunity well-suited for a motivated OT looking to gain experience or expand their clinical skillset in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Schedule Options:
- Sunday through Thursday
- Tuesday through Saturday
Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in California, or eligibility under the 60-day rule if in process
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply; mentorship is available
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfort with electronic health records, specifically Net Health
- Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team
- Flexibility and willingness to float to a nearby sister facility as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans for patients in the skilled nursing facility
- Provide therapeutic interventions aimed at promoting optimal function and independence
- Accurately complete required documentation in compliance with facility standards and timelines
- Communicate and coordinate patient care effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other therapists
- Foster a collaborative, compassionate, and patient-centered care environment

$1,685 - $1,843/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
