A new opportunity is available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist interested in making an impact in a skilled nursing environment. This contract position emphasizes hands-on clinical care, collaborative teamwork, and opportunities for ongoing professional development in a supportive setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in California (or ability to practice under the 60-day rule while licensure is pending)
- Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred; mentorship is available for newly graduated therapists
- Proficiency in documentation and time management, with working knowledge of Net Health or similar EMR
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to float to a nearby sister facility if needed
Schedule Options:
- Sunday through Thursday
- Tuesday through Saturday
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop patient-centered treatment plans for individuals in a skilled nursing setting
- Deliver evidence-based therapy interventions to promote functional improvement, independence, and quality of life
- Collaborate daily with an interdisciplinary care team, including physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and physicians
- Document patient progress in accordance with facility standards and regulatory requirements, utilizing Net Health
- Support facility goals through participation in team meetings, case conferences, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues as appropriate
