Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid COTA certification and active state license
- Experience within schools or pediatric therapy settings is highly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and support staff
- Knowledge of Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes is beneficial
- Adaptability and a creative approach to meeting diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and support services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Contribute to student assessments and goal planning as part of the IEP team
- Deliver evidence-based activities addressing fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skill development
- Track and document student progress, reporting regularly to supervising OT and school staff
- Participate in staff meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as needed
- Engage with teachers and caregivers to ensure effective carryover of therapy goals throughout the school day
