Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred, though not required.
- Ability to partner effectively with district OTs and follow established IEP goals.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach, and a desire to support student growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work hands-on with students to implement therapeutic activities in alignment with OT goals.
- Support district Occupational Therapists by following treatment plans and individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and interventions provided.
- Attend meetings as required, collaborating with the educational team to deliver comprehensive support.
- Communicate regularly with supervising OTs, educators, and families as appropriate.
