Position Overview
Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in a school-based setting for the upcoming academic year. This is a part-time role working with one school site, offering a manageable caseload and strong district support.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to students under district supervision
- Implement IEP goals and treatment plans
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
- Participate in meetings as needed (IEPs, team meetings, etc.)
- Deliver services in accordance with district and state guidelines
Qualifications
- Active Illinois COTA license
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Passion for working with students with diverse learning needs
