School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Cottonwood, California

This contract position starts as soon as possible and continues until the conclusion of the current school year. Working closely with a supportive interdisciplinary team, you'll champion students’ functional independence in both the classroom and beyond.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Valid state COTA license (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to the unique needs of students across all grade levels (K-12)
Responsibilities:
- Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions as directed by a licensed OT
- Support students’ development of sensory, fine motor, and adaptive skills to enhance their participation in school activities
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the educational environment
- Document progress and communicate results to supervising therapist, educational staff, and families
- Assist with assessments and contribute to educational planning for students
