Key Qualifications:
- Current certification and license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience, or a strong desire to work with K-8th grade students in a school setting
- Knowledge of IEP documentation, progress monitoring, and implementation of treatment plans
- Strong teamwork, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to accommodate diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals and best practices
- Collaborate with supervising occupational therapists, educators, and other school staff to support student development
- Maintain accurate records, track student progress, and contribute to regular IEP meetings
- Engage with students through individual and group sessions to help them improve fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a positive school environment
