What we’re looking for:
- Active COTA certification and eligibility to practice in the state
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy interventions
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and educational teams
- Compassionate, patient approach with a commitment to inclusive education
- Ability to work 1:1 with students, adapting therapy plans to individual needs
- Organized and flexible personality to manage sessions across two elementary schools and one middle school
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy support to students on a 1:1 basis
- Work with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals within the school day
- Track progress, complete documentation, and adjust strategies according to student growth
- Promote independence and participation in classroom and school activities
- Consult with families to encourage consistency between home and school environments
- Travel between and provide dedicated services in 2 elementary and 1 middle school, ensuring continuity and care
