Essential Skills and Experience:
- Active COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Ability to adapt intervention strategies to meet individual student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
- Proficiency in implementing therapy plans developed by an Occupational Therapist
- Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students on a 1:1 basis as well as in small group sessions
- Assist students in developing the skills necessary for academic participation and independence
- Follow prescribed therapy goals and document student progress effectively
- Collaborate with teachers and other support professionals to integrate therapeutic strategies within classroom routines
- Support two elementary sites and one middle school, ensuring continuity of care across campuses
- Participate in IEP meetings when required, providing insights to benefit each student's progress
