Desired Qualifications:
- Active COTA certification
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility)
- Recent experience providing occupational therapy services in a school setting
- Knowledgeable in pediatric occupational therapy approaches and IEP processes
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with teachers, therapists, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing individualized occupational therapy plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Deliver direct services to students, promoting independence in daily tasks and academic participation
- Collaborate with classroom staff and families to support student goals
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress, and outcomes as required by school policies
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to IEP development and review, and help monitor student progress
- Adapt and create materials or strategies to facilitate student engagement and success
