Required Qualifications:
- Valid certification/licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience working in a school environment is highly valued
- Solid understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and documentation practices
- Comfortable guiding students in both individual and group therapy sessions
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, therapists, and families
- Adaptable and resourceful approach to meeting student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for students
- Collect and document progress data to support ongoing student assessments
- Collaborate closely with teachers and special education teams to ensure therapy supports academic goals
- Utilize age-appropriate activities and equipment to enhance student participation and independence
- Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages student growth
