Assignment Details:
- School-based placement, itinerant across K-12 locations
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week
- Start date: As soon as possible, through May 28th, 2027
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of California
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with educators, families, and other specialists
- Ability to manage time effectively and adapt between different campus environments
- Dedication to supporting diverse student populations, including those with varying abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Support student participation in learning activities, motor skill development, and daily routines
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and related service providers
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Travel between schools within the assigned region
