You'll work with an average caseload of 40 students, delivering vital therapy services across eight school sites, shaping growth and independence in a diverse group of learners.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current national certification and state licensure as a COTA (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience as a COTA in a school setting is highly valued
- Familiarity with PreK–12+ age groups and varying developmental needs
- Skilled in adapting therapy plans and collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Support students' functional skills, sensory processing, fine and gross motor abilities, and self-help activities
- Implement therapy interventions per IEPs, monitor progress, and provide ongoing feedback
- Travel between up to 8 school sites as scheduled, ensuring consistent care for each student on the caseload
- Assist with conducting assessments, maintaining records, and contributing to the IEP process
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to best support each learner’s goals
