Working an average of 32.5 hours per week, you'll engage with an average caseload of 40 students, providing therapeutic interventions and assistance that make a real difference. Qualifications:
- Current certification and state licensure as a COTA
- Experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
- Comfortable managing a caseload across multiple locations—up to 8 school sites
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
- A collaborative approach and willingness to adapt to varying grade levels from preK through high school
Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy plans designed by occupational therapists to promote student participation and independence
- Support students’ fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills within the educational setting
- Keep up-to-date documentation and progress reports as required
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach to interventions
- Travel between different school locations as needed throughout the week
- Adapt interventions and strategies based on student needs and IEP requirements
