Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license (state-specific for Alaska or eligibility to obtain)
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Experience working with pediatric or school-age populations preferred
- Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and adaptability
- Ability to conduct evaluations and interpret data to create effective intervention plans
- Knowledge of Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation
- Familiarity with a variety of disabilities and therapeutic interventions
Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine functional abilities related to learning and daily living
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, other service providers, and families
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in a school-based setting
- Advocate for students’ needs and provide training/support to school staff
