- Current, valid OT license in Alaska (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, staff, and families
- Ability to design and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Skilled in maintaining accurate records, documenting progress, and contributing to IEP meetings
- Adaptability and flexibility to adjust strategies as students grow and needs evolve
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students’ strengths and needs
- Develop and deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions that support participation in educational activities
- Partner with classroom teachers and staff to implement strategies that enhance student engagement and success
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, contributing to student progress reports and IEP documentation
- Educate families and caregivers on supportive techniques and resources for home use
- Maintain regulatory and ethical standards throughout all aspects of practice
