Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in Missouri (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working as an OT in a school or pediatric environment strongly preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Proficiency with assessments and therapeutic interventions for a diverse student population
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet individual student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services per student IEPs, both individually and in small groups
- Conduct evaluations and develop targeted intervention plans to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to encourage student progress and generalization of skills
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation for assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
