Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state-issued Occupational Therapy license
- Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals
- Experience with sensory integration, fine motor skill development, and adaptive strategies
- Skilled in documentation and progress monitoring; proficiency with electronic record systems a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and provide detailed reports
- Design and execute tailored treatment plans to help students achieve educational and developmental goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special educators, and support staff to promote student participation
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise and recommendations for accommodations and modifications
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, goals, and strategies for home use
- Maintain thorough documentation to track outcomes and meet regulatory requirements
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education to support optimal student outcomes
