Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Missouri (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience working as an OT in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP process, and educational documentation
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Adaptability and creativity in implementing individualized interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities to determine therapy needs and appropriate strategies
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families
- Provide direct therapy services to students and consultative support to teachers
- Track student progress, document services, and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in school-based OT
