What You’ll Bring:
- Active OT license in Maryland (must be verified)
- Experience working within a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged children
- Familiarity or interest in serving students with high-level autism, communication needs, and behavioral challenges
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Openness to travel between schools as caseloads require
- Commitment to inclusive education and differentiated support
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, plan, and provide occupational therapy services to a diverse K-5 caseload
- Set your own flexible daily schedule (with building administrator approval), ensuring 21 hours per week are dedicated to direct therapy
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, utilizing mentorship resources and district behavioral supports
- Support functional and academic skill acquisition for students in both group and individual settings
- Adapt strategies to meet a broad range of needs, from high-level autism to behavioral and communication goals
- Maintain thorough documentation and communication with educational staff and families
