Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license for the state of Maryland required
- Experience working in school settings and/or with early elementary age children
- Expertise addressing academic life skills, high-level autism, communication challenges, and behavioral needs
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to adapt to a flexible, multi-site caseload as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services (minimum 21 hours per week) based on district caseloads and student needs
- Support students in developing communication, social-emotional, adaptive, and behavioral skills
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and related service providers
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress monitoring in compliance with school district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and consultations, contributing clinical insight and goal planning
- Benefit from a robust mentor program and behavior support resources within the district
