Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current and valid Delaware Occupational Therapist license and certification
- Previous experience in school settings preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and intervention skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and school staff
- Enthusiasm for helping students achieve their goals in academics and daily living activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs and 504 plans
- Conduct student assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and maintain precise documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to support each student’s therapy needs and educational objectives
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations to promote student success
- Educate school personnel and families on therapeutic strategies and adaptations for daily routines
