Two full-time openings for Occupational Therapists are available, both based on the south end, offering a chance to work with diverse school-age populations and collaborate within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
In this role, you will utilize your expertise as a Licensed Occupational Therapist (MD OT License required) to assess students’ skills, develop and implement effective therapy plans, and work closely with educators and families to promote best outcomes for every learner.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid Maryland Occupational Therapist License
- Prior experience in a school-based OT setting preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
- Excellent organizational, intervention, and documentation skills
- Compassionate, adaptable, and dedicated to student-centered therapy
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students according to IEP goals and district guidelines
- Conduct evaluations and regularly track student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing clinical expertise for program planning
- Collaborate consistently with teachers and other related service providers
- Create engaging, motivating activities that foster independence and participation in school routines
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by state and district policies
