This full-time contract opportunity offers a chance to address diverse needs and help students thrive academically and personally. With two openings available on the south end of the county, you'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals to deliver essential OT services from August 2026 through June 2027.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Maryland OT license (required)
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention planning, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Previous school-based OT experience is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop targeted intervention strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support students’ functional performance
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of student progress and therapy sessions
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary support team
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education for school-based OT services
