Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity for an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) working full-time with students across the K-12 spectrum for the full 2025-2026 school year. This pivotal role involves serving approximately 40 students across two sites, fostering meaningful progress and supporting educational success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active OTR licensure and state certification eligible for school-based practice
- Prior experience in educational or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong understanding of school-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions
- Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and support teams
- Ability to travel between two close school sites as required
- Passion for enhancing student participation, independence, and academic achievement
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services for a diverse K-12 caseload
- Evaluate students’ needs and develop tailored intervention plans
- Collaborate closely with Special Education teams and classroom teachers
- Document progress and maintain compliance with IEP goals and regulatory standards
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise on student abilities and recommendations
- Support classroom adaptations, assistive technology, and inclusion strategies
- Foster a supportive, engaging environment to empower student growth and independence
