Key Qualifications:
- Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in Texas
- Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Adept at managing diverse caseloads and adapting to varying site requirements
- Comfortable with IEP/ARD meetings and related documentation
- Willingness to attend back-to-school and ARD meetings as scheduled
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to students across elementary and secondary sites (potentially 4 locations)
- Assess students and develop individualized treatment plans to support educational goals
- Collaborate with school-based professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in ARD/IEP meetings as required
- Schedule and communicate effectively to balance onsite and remote responsibilities
Your schedule may align with elementary (7:30–3:30 pm) or secondary (8–4 pm) hours, but you’ll enjoy the autonomy to complete work remotely when on-site tasks are finished. Flexibility is key, especially with back-to-school meetings—just communicate your availability to coordinate effectively with the team. The role is open to begin after contract approval, so anticipate starting no sooner than August 18.
