Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings is highly preferred
- Ability to assess and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to school-based needs
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills
- Knowledge of current best practices and compliance regulations for school-based therapy
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students requiring occupational therapy services
- Implement therapy interventions focused on fine motor skills, sensory processing, adaptive behavior, and functional independence
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, school teams, and families to support student goals and facilitate classroom participation
- Document progress, prepare reports, and contribute to IEP meetings as an active team member
- Provide consultation and training to staff to ensure interventions are integrated into daily activities
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with evidence-based approaches and standards
