Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license to practice
- Previous school-based OT experience or a strong passion for pediatric care
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, families, and staff
- Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, and implement effective treatment strategies
- Adaptability, creativity, and problem-solving skills in dynamic classroom settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students based on their individual education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify needs and establish goals
- Collaborate actively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure functional progress
- Contribute expertise to IEP meetings and provide progress updates
- Develop and implement interventions to enhance students’ fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Document therapy sessions and maintain compliant records
