Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in Massachusetts
- Experience or strong interest in school-based OT, particularly with K-8 populations
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, according to IEPs
- Assess students’ functional, motor, and adaptive skills to determine therapy needs
- Develop intervention plans tailored to individual student goals and monitor progress
- Collaborate with educational staff to support classroom participation and accommodations
- Document student performance, maintain compliance records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Offer support and recommendations to families and educators for carryover in various settings
