School Occupational Therapist - Highland, New York

Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Valid NY state OT or COTA license (school-based experience preferred)
- Background working with pediatric or school-age populations, especially students with autism
- Strong understanding of sensory processing and child development
- Ability to work cooperatively within a transdisciplinary team
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills
What You’ll Do
- Provide individualized OT sessions (8–9 per day) based on established 30-minute treatment increments
- Support students’ participation in motor and educational activities through sensory processing strategies
- Utilize provided therapeutic equipment and dedicated treatment rooms, with access to a large gym space
- Document sessions electronically using assigned platforms (laptop provided)
- Participate in push-in therapy services within classroom settings as appropriate
- Engage in regular collaboration with teachers and related service staff, contributing to consistency and goal achievement
- Attend scheduled prep time for meetings, planning, and documentation each morning and afternoon
