You'll collaborate with other therapy professionals and supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as you deliver essential services to students of all ages. Candidates from El Paso, Deming, Truth or Consequences, or the White Sands region are especially encouraged to consider this role—commuting is a viable option!
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active NM state licensure (NMRLD) required
- Eligibility for NMPED certification (can be obtained quickly for proactive applicants)
- Background in school-based Occupational Therapy practice
- Willingness to supervise COTA(s) as part of your responsibilities
- Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites
- Strong communication and organizational skills
What You'll Do:
- Deliver Occupational Therapy assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring for a diverse student population
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Supervise and mentor COTA(s) to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- Maintain compliance with state requirements and school policies
- Travel between campuses to serve students at different locations
