School Occupational Therapist - Vado, New Mexico

Key Qualifications:
- Active New Mexico state OT licensure (NMRLD) is required.
- NMPED certification through the NM Department of Education must be in hand by your start date (quick process with advance preparation).
- Open to OTs and COTAs; OTs must be willing to supervise COTAs.
- Must be comfortable working with students of all ages and adapting to a dynamic educational environment.
- Flexibility to travel between multiple schools is necessary (all travel within the southern New Mexico region, close to scenic attractions and near El Paso, TX).
- Previous school-based OT experience is valued, but not mandatory for passionate, qualified applicants.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload, supporting students’ educational and developmental growth.
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Supervise and mentor COTA(s), guiding best practices and service delivery.
- Document treatment plans, progress notes, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed.
- Engage with students in individual and group settings across various campuses.
This is a full-time, onsite role (40 hours/week), running through the entire school year, offering the chance to build longstanding relationships in a welcoming community.
