Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist serving an Infant and Toddler Program in the Leonardtown area. This role offers a dynamic, itinerant setting, allowing you to make a lasting difference while enjoying paid mileage and a flexible full-time schedule. As part of an engaged support team, your expertise will help foster developmental growth and maximize student independence during an 11-month contract, with an immediate start and stability through July 2027.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license from the state of Maryland
- Proven experience or interest in working within school settings, particularly with infants, toddlers, and early childhood populations
- Ability to thrive in an itinerant role, traveling between locations as part of daily responsibilities (mileage is reimbursed)
- Strong assessment, planning, and documentation skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities when working with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services to infants and toddlers in developmental programs
- Assess students’ functional abilities and create individualized intervention plans
- Work closely with families to support carryover and generalization of therapy goals in home environments
- Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to ensure a coordinated approach to student services
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, treatment progress, and communication with team members
- Effectively manage a varied caseload while adapting interventions to diverse learning needs
