Occupational Therapist School Setting - Mechanicsville, MD
Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting young learners as a full-time Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting. Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and valid Maryland Occupational Therapy License required
- Previous experience providing OT services in school-based settings, particularly with infants and toddlers, highly preferred
- Solid understanding of assessment tools, goal setting, and therapeutic interventions for early childhood populations
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to upholding district and state policies for documentation and student care
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to eligible infants and toddlers, aligned with IEP/IFSP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and staff to create supportive, inclusive learning environments
- Maintain organized and timely documentation per district and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing student progress discussions
- Serve as a resource regarding OT services for educational staff and families
