School Occupational Therapist | Lexington Park, Maryland

What you’ll need to succeed:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Maryland
- Previous experience serving schools or pediatric populations, ideally with infants and toddlers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with families, educators, and caregivers
- Flexibility and adaptability within dynamic educational settings
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, designing individualized programs, and documenting progress in compliance with school and state requirements
Key responsibilities:
- Provide targeted occupational therapy services to infants and toddlers in a supportive school-based program
- Evaluate motor, sensory, behavioral, and developmental needs through observation and formal assessment
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective intervention plans
- Maintain detailed records of assessments, goals, and progress for each child on your caseload
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated care and support
- Offer guidance and resources to parents and staff to maximize each child’s development and participation
