In this school-based role, you’ll collaborate with educators and families while applying your expertise to support students’ functional and academic success. Your days will be varied and rewarding, tailoring interventions, offering consultative services, and advocating for each child’s developmental needs.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Active Maryland Occupational Therapy license required
- Previous experience working with children ages birth through five, including Infant & Toddler programs or school-based practice
- Knowledge of Child Find services and early intervention best practices
- Strong communication skills for working closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, intervention, and consultative occupational therapy services to infants and toddlers referred through the district’s Child Find program
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans centered around functional, developmental, and educational goals
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state/district guidelines
- Participate in IFSP meetings and support families in understanding and advocating for early intervention resources
- Collaborate with special educators, related services personnel, and other professionals for comprehensive student support
