Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license issued by the state of Maryland
- Experience in a school environment or working with pediatric populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload, including infants, toddlers, and early intervention/Child Find program participants
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and adapting therapy to individual student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services to infants and toddlers, ensuring IEP/IFSP goals are met
- Develop and implement appropriate interventions to enhance fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills in a school setting
- Collaborate with educators, speech-language pathologists, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments
- Participate actively in assessments, eligibility determinations, and Child Find processes
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with district and state standards
- Communicate effectively with families to provide updates, resources, and strategies for carryover outside school hours
