Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Washington (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and compliance requirements
- Strong assessment, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to design and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Comfortable working exclusively onsite
What You’ll Do:
- Assess students’ functional abilities, develop intervention plans, and deliver therapeutic activities
- Manage caseloads and maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insight to team members and families
- Guide students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and life skills necessary for classroom participation
- Provide training and resources for staff to facilitate successful student inclusion
- Monitor progress, adapt interventions, and advocate for student needs within the school
