Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license for the state of Maryland or eligibility to obtain prior to the start date
- Previous experience working in schools or pediatric settings is preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement therapy plans tailored to each student's needs
- Comfortable working with IEPs and supporting students with a range of abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled occupational therapy services to students as indicated in their educational plans
- Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings to help determine therapy needs and goals
- Work closely with teachers and staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom environment
- Document progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with families and team members
- Support student success by promoting independence in daily school activities
