Key Qualifications:
- Current OT licensure for the state of Alaska (AK)
- TYPE C Certification required
- Preferred: AK-Certified status
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Comfortable providing direct student care (in-person only—no virtual or teletherapy options)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver approximately 1,000 minutes of student contact per week (about 16 hours), managing a dynamic caseload in accordance with prescribed IEP goals
- Conduct thorough assessments and provide individualized interventions to enhance student participation in school activities
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, other therapists, and education professionals to ensure cohesive, interdisciplinary support for students
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for service delivery, progress, and compliance
- Contribute to a positive school culture by sharing expertise and supporting inclusive educational opportunities
- Remain up to date with best practices in pediatric occupational therapy
This contract opportunity is available for the NSY session through 5/21/27, with a full-time schedule averaging 37.5 hours weekly. Candidates will be promptly considered as applications are received and interviews may begin early in the process.
