Preferred Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Washington State
- Experience working with school-aged children and familiarity with IEP processes
- Background in school-based occupational therapy, home health, or general healthcare OT
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions and therapeutic activities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of students and school schedules
- Previous contract or travel assignment experience highly valued
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine eligibility and need for occupational therapy services in educational and home health environments
- Develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans focused on helping students reach their academic and functional goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families for coordinated care
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing insights on student progress and accommodation needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with federal and state policies
- Provide training and support for classroom staff regarding therapeutic interventions and strategies
- Transition between school and home-based service delivery as needed
