An excellent opportunity awaits for a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) passionate about supporting students' growth and functional independence in an educational setting. This part-time contract position serves students across two locations, making a meaningful impact during the late spring term. The role begins on 05/05/2026 and concludes 06/05/2026, with a consistent 14-hour workweek spread over two days—Monday through Friday—between 7:45 AM and 3:15 PM (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and valid OT or COTA state licensure (required; must be submitted with your application)
- Experience working in a school environment or with pediatric populations is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working closely with multidisciplinary teams, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a school-based caseload, traveling between assigned sites as needed
- Organizational skills for effective time management and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document student progress
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other support staff to help students achieve their educational goals
- Adapt interventions to address students’ fine motor, sensory, and self-regulation needs within the school environment
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school and legal requirements
